For several years already, Hugo Messer had the feeling that he wanted to be an entrepreneur, to found his own company. To make a base for this, he decided to study Business administration at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. His graduation subject was ‘Information Management’, seen his affinity with technology. During the internship in the last year of Hugo’s study, he founded a company together with two friends. To learn more about entrepreneurship, he subsequently did research to the success- and failing factors of starting internet businesses for his graduation project. During one and a half year after his study, Hugo worked for a publishing company in Amsterdam, where he established a ‘going-out agenda’ and a new establishment. But the entrepreneurship kept on calling. When the publishing company went bankrupt, Hugo packed his backpack and discovered India and China. At that time already, Hugo had the idea to do something with outsourcing, and that is why he wanted to get to know these largest outsourcing locations from nearby. In the beginning of 2005, Hugo started with Bridge. Bridge helps companies with outsourcing web and software to foreign countries. The knowledge and experience of Bridge makes it easier for clients to outsource their works offshore. As a side effect, Hugo wants to make a contribution with Bridge to create a better balance in the world.
